'Car Talk' for Tanks
NPR is now heard in Afghanistan.
NPR Worldwide programming is on the American Forces Network broadcast on 103.1 MHz at Bagram Air Base, north of Kabul. AFN plans to expand the service to reach American troops in other locations, including Kabul and Kandahar, according to NPR.
The network led its press release about the service with the headline, “Because drivers of tanks and Humvees need advice from the ‘Car Talk’ boys, too ...”
