'Americana' Format Planned
A Georgia-based company is looking for radio affiliates interested in what it calls the first network that provides a full-time "Americana" format.
The Americana Radio Network plans to begin offering previews in mid-August.
"Americana Radio defines the music as a format with roots reaching out through different music genres," the company said. Influences include bluegrass, Appalachian, folk, blues, gospel and old-time country.
