‘Media Dash’ Hopes to Improve Buying, Selling Radio Ads

Two radio veterans have opened TheMediaDash.com, a media and ad technology company formed to improve the buying and selling of radio advertising.

Drew Hilles, CEO, and Rob Williams, COO lead the company, located in Westport, Conn. Prior, they co-founded Digital Brand Connections, a digital media company.

Hilles previously was a senior director at Google and founding senior executive of dMarc Broadcasting, which Google acquired. He also held senior management positions at Clear Channel Radio and CBS Radio.

Williams was CEO of Goom Radio, a digital radio-style entertainment source for mobile and Internet radio listeners; he also led several stations as a senior manager for Clear Channel’s New York market.

The company says Media Dash will be a “self-serve” online platform to allow radio advertisers and broadcasters to execute their media transactions more easily, faster and with more accountability. The goal is to make the process “as easy as it is to buy Internet advertising online," Hilles stated.

The executive team is rounded out by Jody Tester, chief technology officer; and Erin Collier, executive vice president and director of account strategy.
